Shop Local at Waikiki ArtFest in Kapiolani Park
Pick up one-of-a-kind souvenirs and support Hawaii's local artists at the Waikiki Artfest, held at Kapiolani Park every weekend from 9am to 4pm through November.
The open-air art festival draws lots of locals and plenty of tourists, featuring the work of approximately 75 Hawaiian artists and artisans. Shop clothing, jewelry, beauty products, wooden creations, photography and more, all for different tastes and styles. Shop for handcrafted souvenirs that you can purchase right from the source! Many of the items are inspired by the flora and fauna of the islands and are typically made from local materials, so you can bring the spirit of aloha home with you.
Admission is free, and live entertainment will likely cause you to linger. Food is also available for purchase.
The weekend festival runs most of the year and is held in Kapiolani Park, right near the entrance of the Honolulu Zoo. Parking is available along Kalakaua Avenue or at the Waikiki Shell lot.
While you're in the area, we suggest you soak up the sun at the nearby Kuhio Beach, or chow down on casual American and Pacific-Rim-inspired fare at Tiki's Grill & Bar. The restaurant has outdoor seating with a stellar view of the beach, and there's almost always live music.
Tiki's Grill & Bar is located in Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel, which is within walking distance from all the happenings of Kapiolani Park.
